SchoolFront provides parents with secure system access using a unique username and password.
With a single login they can view the academic information of all children that they have enrolled in the school.
Homework
SchoolFront allows parents to know their child’s homework assignments before their child gets home from school.
Instead of asking children “What homework do you have?” parents can ask them about each individual assignment. This feature is of particular benefit to parents of students who procrastinate because they can look ahead to see what projects are due and have their child start working on them before it’s too late for them to do them well.
Grades
SchoolFront gives parents the ability to securely access their child’s grades on assignments, tests, classes, etc. online from any Internet-connected computer without having to ask the teacher.
Parents can also choose to be automatically emailed when their child gets above or below a specific grade.
Coursework
SchoolFront gives parents the ability to securely access and view their child’s homework, class notes, supporting materials, reading assignments, and practice tests online from any Internet-connected computer.
Teachers can place class notes and resources online so that parents can discuss lessons with their children, help their children with homework and projects, and reinforce at home what the teacher is presenting in class.
Averages & Online Report Cards
SchoolFront allows parents to view up-to-the-minute class averages so that they can anticipate report card grades.
With this feature and the ability to view individual assignment and test grades, parents can see where their children need to focus to improve the grades. Proactive monitoring and parental support helps kids address academic issues before it’s too late to make a difference in final grades.
Calendar & School Events
The SchoolFront calendar allows parents to see what’s going on in their child’s school so that they can encourage their child to participate or can plan to attend themselves (e.g. sporting events, field trips, concerts and theater, club schedules, etc.).
Announcements & School Communication
SchoolFront announcements allow parents to see important and up-to-date information posted by school administration (e.g. last minute cancellations, event reminders, school emergencies, etc.).
Toll-Free Telephone Number Access
SchoolFront supports the enablement of toll-free telephone access (via #800) for parents who do not have Internet access.
Parents are able to call-in, authenticate using a unique PIN, and have their children’s information electronically read to them over the telephone including grades, homework, attendence, announcements, and upcoming school calendar events.
Mobile Device (Cell Phone and Smartphone) Access
SchoolFront includes a mobile interface that can be accessed by parents from any Internet-enabled device like a cell phone or smartphone.
Parents who access the system in this way can view their child's grades, homework, attendence, announcements, and upcoming school calendar events.
Event Info & Tickets
You can access information about school events and purchase tickets to the events online, including school dances, sports, music concerts, theater, etc.
Extracurricular Activity / Club Pages
Parents from the Parent & Teacher Association (PTA) and other parent groups can help maintain the group's web page.
Parent content managers can add text, images, comments, blog entries, events, and more to group pages.
Buttons can be added to club / activity pages making it easy for people to post information to social sites.
