Mentors
Mentors come in many different types. Some are Big Brothers or Sisters, while others are employees of agencies designed to aid community youth. All types will greatly benefit from access to their mentee's academic information. They can supplement tutoring, track attendance, attend school events and reinforce classroom topics.
Features for Mentors:
- Secure Access. Via a username and password you can be granted secure access to your mentee's information. You will not see information that does not relate to your mentee.
- Homework. Know your mentee's homework before they get home. Instead of asking what they have to do, ask them if they completed each assignment. Does your mentee procrastinate? Look ahead to see when projects are due and have your mentee start working on them now.
- Grades. Get their grades without having to ask the teacher. Know when to praise your mentee for doing well or review their work if they do not.
- Class work. Reinforce what the teacher is reviewing in class during your time together. Discuss with your mentee the topics covered in school.
- Averages. Know your mentee's estimated grade before the report card arrives. Identify problems and react before it is too late to impact their grade.
- Calendar. See what’s going on in the school. See when the next sporting event or field trip is scheduled.
- Announcements. See announcements posted by school administration. Last minute cancellations, event reminders, and school emergencies are just some of the information that might be posted.
